๐ŸšฉTruth LOUD and CLEAR about ISLAM.๐Ÿšฉ@ ✒GBG⚔

1.  As a writer, I have always upheld truth and justice. It may amount to criticising  our government, our system, any social flaws or any religion.  I have been posting my views on flaws across board in the same spirit.

2. Thus when I raised questions about  Islamic concepts, some friends raised their eyebrows and asked me as on what premises I base my objections to Islam ?

3.   I  must point out here itself that I have nothing against Indian muslims,  and I respect the Ganga-Jamuna tehzeeb, but please do not forget that Ganga-Jamuna tehzeeb is a synergy of Sufi Islam and Sanaatan Hindu parampara.  Also  we can  not forget that this Ganga-Jamuna culture is the outcome of  tolerant and helpless Hindu spirit and a ruthless advent of Islamic sword in our sub-continent. So long was the suppression of non-islamic Faith's in India, that 10 generations of  Sikh Gurus had to tirelessly fight Islam with their pen aswellas sword, and sacrificed their families, themselves and countless sikhs, to put an end to the nuisance of Islamic dominance.

4.  What is so wrong about Islam that even people like  me feel forced to spell them out?

5.  Well, the cardinal sin of Islam is, that it takes off from a premise of being fully and finally perfect. Its followers have accepted this flawed paradigm, and as a result refuse to introspect their own flaws while finding a million flaws in other world religions.

6.  This singular flaw alone, is so magnanimous that the followers of Islam have indulged, in mass murders, only to force others to accept their point of view.

7.   Is it an ignorable flaw I ask my critics ? No ladies and gentlemen, it is in fact an unparalleled crime against humanity and the paradox is, it still continues.

8.  I say it verily that  Islam is basically flawed in its major concepts.  Although I still give it the  benefit of doubt for being so,  as Islsm emerged as a religion and social order in an highly uncivilised society, saturated with greed  jealousy, and malice.

9.  I am ready to overlook the flaws in Islam  because of the geographical, demographical, cultural and other conditions in which it was born, but that can not be an excuse to absolve its followers of never having looked beyond their own closet.

10.   I am not being overtly critical of a religion followed by many of my friends but my candid observation is rather  indicative of the fact that some truly enlightened people within Islam need to revisit its core values and concepts to realign it.

11.  Technically speaking Islam was conceptualised and created in a desert, for ill cultured,  rival polytheistic tribals, with a wild and violent streak, by one of them, that is Mohammad  (PBUH).

12.  The aim was to unite these tribals, tame them and drive some sense in to them by giving them a regimen to live by.

13.  So he created some extremely stringent and harsh laws and lifestyles to bring order to a disorderly desert society. So far so good but the problem started when Islam was put in to a time freezer by its followers and then spread by them beyond the Arab deserts.

14.   The preachers of Islam were and are not only intolerant of non-Muslims, or any other alternate way of life,  but they were and are also intolerant to any change and evolution within their own religion it self.

15.  To bring home a point for my non muslim readers, muslims or momins are those who have agreed to be followers of Prophet. Kafirs are those who have not as yet done so,  and kafir murtads are those who have been momins once, but have then decided to move on, or in other words, they are the apostates.

16.   Some rules created by Prophet were forceful conversions of non Muslim tribals  to Islam, but to do so he ended up creating an extremely flawed system of social order.  In simple words he advocated death for Kafirs who refuse to be momins  and death for kafir murtaads or apostates.

17.  I have strong objections to this and also to his concepts on  social positioning and justice for women.

18.  Many of the precedences and laws of Mohammad's philosophy are proving to be misfits in the modern society, where people have  gone much past the Arabia of 1500 years ago. For example Hijab.

19.  Women are working as doctors, nurses, air hostesses  and soldiers and in hundreds of other professions.  Neither the hijab is practical for them, nor is it fair for them to be treated as commodities, slaves and objects of sex alone.  Please refer to Sura 70- aayat 30 of Quran.

20.  Then there is a cardinal sin being committed by followers of Islam in converting non-muslims in to Muslims. Tragically, this is not only being carried out as a religious duty,  but in an idiotic hope and promise of rewards,  in an after-life in  so called Jannat or an imagined Firdaus.

21.   How can it be possible to carry-on  rubbing concepts of any religion or lifestyle on others, concepts that have outlived their utility. Today millions of people want to live free of any or all old religions, as the modern men and women have outgrown the need or necessity to belong to any religion.

22.  People feel that for living a life governed by ethics and morality no religion is required.

24.  Also I must add,  that in millions of conversions violence has been the key as far as Islam is concerned.  Sword was justified to be used against munqirs  and Kafir murtads of desert of Arabia, by Nabi but sadly it did not end their.

25.  This flawed concept of the founder of Islam is responsible for torture and death of millions of innocent people all across the globe just for being  non-muslims.

26.  Sikhism in India  evolved in to a martial race or religion  as a direct consequence of an armed rebellion against the repressive oppressive and intolerant policies of Muslim rulers, who all followed  the core concepts of Islam and its founder.

27.  Its a different chapter although, as to how a basically flawed  Manuvadi Hinduism, with it's staunch caste demands also contributed to emergence and spread of Sikhism.

28.   I think its time to think beyond any thing and every think that is oppressive and repressive for general public, exploitative of women, and generally regressive.

© Before we try and answer this  question, I would like to  talk about the Birth of Khalsa, as a prologue to my views on how Guru Gobind Singh Ji  reached Nanded, and ultimately why only Banda Bahadur was chosen as the Chief of Khalsa army.

1.  Shri Guru Gobind Singh created Khalsa On 30th March 1699,  at Anandpur as he proclaimed that Khalsa is,  his and Akal Purakh's eternal child.  So this new creed of sikhs were proclaimed to be both saints aswellas soldiers.

2.  To give a never die spirit to these warriors, he created the concept of amrit (nectar),  for initiating the Khalsa. Amrit it self is very symbolic.

3.   Amrit  being prepared in a steel bowl, signifies  steel like strength in it.  Just like steel tempered by fire and ice, a spirit is tempered by adversity and joy, to the extent of transgression of spirit beyond physical pain.  Stirring water with a khanda or double-edged sword, is symbolic of the warrior spirit.

4.   In the process of Amrit preparation,  he asked Mata Sundari ji and Mata Saheb deva to add sugar, (Patasha) which were dropped into the vessel by them as  Guru Saheb stirred the Amrit.  Sweetness and gentleness of motherly spirit was thus added to the alchemy of steel.

5.  This was also symbolic of empowering the sikh women as  equal in status to men. Mata Sundari ji and Mata Saheb Deva  thus became the first Khalsa Women, but as Mata Saheb kaur, being the spiritual and platonic wife of Guru Saheb had been promised by Guru ji, that she would be the mother to his immortal child,  thus she was declared as the mother of Khalsa.

6.  This little introduction to the next part of this  post is necessary to establish, that after the creation of Khalsa, the Sikhs were firmly established  in the warrior tradition for ever. This also established that Guru Gobind Singh now on was a full fledged warrior rebel, for whom there is no turning back. A very strong message to his enemies that the fight shall continue till the very end.

7.   With this as background, the spiritual part of sikhism was for inner peace, good conduct for social harmony, but what became necessarily clear was that Sikhs will never take an enemy's attack lying down, in the name of spirituality, but rather the sikh spirituality from now on will, revolve around, prayer for peace but readiness for war, and knowledge of tactics of war and strategic thinking shall now on be essentially a  sikh necessity.

8. Lets now turn our attention to other facts. Guru ji, was repeatedly cheated by his enemies, and ultimately his two elder sons were martyred in war, as two younger ones bricked alive in Sirhind. Guru ji however fought on relentlessly, and also continously walked the way of peace by first offering peace and treaty to his adversaries.

9. As a result, he wrote a letter to Aurangzeb, who was old and tired by now, and after reading the Zafarnama, he also repented in his heart, all that he and his governor of Sirhind had done to Guru Sahib's children and his extended family, his Khalsa warriors.

10.  Thus a spirit of making peace with Sikhs arose in Dehli Darbaar. As a result Aurangzeb after having  received the letter(Zafarnama),  decided to personally meet Guru Gobind Singh ji. Ahmadnagar was decided to be the rendezvous,  but the meeting could not fructify as the Mughal Emperor died before that.

11.  After Aurangzeb died, a succession struggle immediately began between his sons. Crooks as the Mughals were, they were infamous for two things, fratricide,  and  not keeping their word.  A war for succession ensued and the success of becoming Aurangzeb's  successor came to Bahadur Shah,  and strange as it might seem, but it was with the Guru ji's blessings that this man got his throne.

 12. How all this came to be, well  Aurangzeb died in Deccan, and at that time,  Bahadur Shah, his eldest son was in Afghanistan. His younger son Muhammad Azim was with his father, who, taking advantage of the situation,  assumed command of the Imperial army, aswellas took possession of the treasury and declared him self to be the emperor of Hindustan.

13.  Bahadur Shah decided to fight for his father's throne, but in the given circumstances, his brother was better equipped. Bahadur Shah had to look for allies. Having heard of  Guru Gobind Singh's warriors, and their die hard spirit, and being in circumstances where help could not come from those, used to saluting the rising sun, Bahadur shah requested for  Guru ji's help, thus Guru ji put his forces with Bahadur Shah, on the condition that after Bahadur Shah becomes the emperor, Nawab of Sirhind would be handed over to him.

14.   When this was agreed to,  Guru ji sent his best army under command of Bhai Dharam Singh to help Bahadurshah. As a result, a fierce war of succession was fought, in which Muhammad Azim's forces were defeated, Prince Muhammad Azim was killed and Bahadur Shah became the Emperor of Delhi.

15. To thank and honour the Guru, Emperor invited him to Agra. Guru ji accepted the invitation, and was received with the honour due to an ally.

16.  Guru ji was given a Khillat, (a robe of honour)  and jewellery worth  60 thousand rupees, in form of a bejeweled scarf.  Guru ji was also requested to accept the Emperor's hospitality, which Guru Ji accepted, as herein lay an opportunity,  to set  things right in Punjab.

17.  Guru ji is said to have stayed with the Emperor from July 1707 to November 1707.  Bahadur Shah was informed of all the wrongs done by Vazir Khan, the governor of Punjab and Sirhind,  and he promised to punish Vazir Khan and cronies.

18.  However, Bahadur Shah had other plans. He did not want to disturb the apple cart of Sirhind, as at that time,  the Kachhvaha Rajputs  of Rajputana, and his brother Kam Bakhsh were his immediate headaches, he wanted to deal with.

19.  Being a clever man, Emperor asked Guru ji to accompany him, to Rajputana and Marath-wada. This had an effect on the complete campaign, as Rajputs and most of others, had heard of Guru's sacrifices and held him in high esteem,  also his being instrumental in putting the Emperor on throne had a huge effect, so Rajput Kings, took the way of peace, but When in Deccan, Bahadur Shah demanded Guru Ji to engage in direct conflict with emperor's adversaries.  Guru Ji refused.

20.  By now, on this long march, which took many months to cover, some sikh mercenaries, were more willing to be with the mughal army, for better wages and for better share in loot of battles and raids. Barring a few, who were inherently loyal  to Guru Ji,  others had engaged themselves in the business of Emperor.

21.  Some were with Guru ji  in hope of gaining the trophy of Gurudom in the end, as Guru Gobind Singh ji had lost his immediate family in war against oppression. Guru Ji's sharp eye was seeing it all.

22.  By now, Guru ji had also realized that going back on one's word and cheating,  were an essential state-craft practiced by the mughals.

23.  The Emperor Bahadur Shah believed that if not engaged in some other business, Guru ji,  might take advantage of his absence from Delhi, he might gather his forces and start a war against Vazir Khan , which could result in Sikhs growing in to a bigger power, and ultimately challenging Delhi.  Being one of the mughals, who were used to killing their own blood for women and wealth, Bahadur Shah's distrust in Guru Sahib was a part of his naturally conditioned upbringing and legacy.

24.  Emperor  wanted Guru Gobind Singh ji,  both as an ally in his battles, and also out of Punjab, both at the same time, but this was not agreeable to Guru Ji. By now Guru Sahib had been let down by his own people aswellas others, and he wanted to take a break. Bahadur Shah too, by now had  taken the wagers away from sikh army, and was happy to part ways with Guru Ji in a tactfully clever way.

25. Thus as they travelled by the sides of Godavari,  at a place called Nander, Guru ji and his few loyalists camped, to rest. I am sure that by now, Bahadur Shah also would have had communicated his unwillingness to honour his commitment on Sirhind as willingly, as he had promised to. This must have been heart breaking for Guruji.

26.  This was the state of affairs, when Guru Gobind Singh ji happened to meet, an experienced hunter, an ex mercenary having fought for Maratha Sambha ji, a practising yogi and spiritualist,  Bairagi Madho Das, who listened to Guru Sahib's story, empathised with him, and as a result not only converted to be his Khalsa, but even vowed to avenge the wrongs done to Guruji. Around this point in time,  Guru ji was stabbed by an assain, commissioned by Vazir Khan. His wounds were stitched by an english doctor sent by Bahadur Shah, but the wounds reopened. Rest  is History.

27.  Why only Banda Bahadur was chosen by Guru sahib, was because Guru ji, in these unique circumstances, must have found in Banda,  all that he desired in a Khalsa leader, that is intelligence, strength, stamina, spiritual awakening, soldierly traits, integrity, honesty and trustworthiness, some what more, than others around him. There must have been some great warriors around Guru Sahib, but the unique package of Saint Soldier, as desired by Guru Sahib could only be found in Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, and then, who could  have been a better Judge of circumstances, other than Guru Gobind Singh Ji him self.

28.  Thus he gave the command of the Khalsa to BBSB Ji, as at the same time the temporal power for community decisions  was vested in Panj Piaras, and also at the same time the Spiritual authority over the Sikhs was vested in SGGS ji.

29. To understand it in essence, we must understand that Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji was not a battle hungry war monger. He was a man of peace who believed in raising the sword as a means to establish peace, and not as an end in its own self. Thus he handed over the reins of his Spiritual Mission to SGGS ji, his Social and Community responsibility to Panj Piaras, and his immediate military mission of  challenging, containing and punishing, where necessary, the unlimited, despotic and exploitative  power of emperors and other rulers to Baba Banda Singh Ji Bahadur. In my opinion it was a fair division of labour. The legacy lives on, even today,  although not essentially as desired by Dashmesh, but his glory lies in the fact that he established the institutions of sikhism in the right spirit.

WHAT is SO WRONG with Indian establishment's handling of Canadian Prime minister's visit, and the Sikh identity❓

WHAT is SO WRONG with Indian establishment's handling of Canadian Prime minister's visit, and the Sikh identity❓

Here is a candid take.

1.   What could have been a usual visit to Taj Mahal and Golden Temple, was turned sour by Indian establishment's indifference, even before Justin Trudeau had reached India.

 2. Prime Minister Namo rather than greeting a foreign head of state at the airport, in his usual flamboyant style,  decided to snub his Canadian counterpart, which was shockingly sad. How can the PM forget that Canada has been a key alliance partner in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some one some where failed to give a proper brief to the honourable PM, or else such a diplomatic faux pas, is unheard of in the modern Indian political and diplomatic history.

3. As a result, the Canadian PM's visit to India, which  otherwise could have been a  pleasant diplomatic trip,   was unnecessarily given an ugly twist.

4. The only reason  for this complete messup seems to be that,  JT was accompanied by his powerful and popular Sikh Ministers, Sohi and Sajjan. Was it that it was too difficult to digest the fact,  for the rotten royal indian elite, mistakenly considered as great masters in diplomacy, that  a few ordinary middleclass men, who migrated to Canada, today stand tall as leading Canadian representatives, or is it that Indian establishment has a problem with Sikhs, in general?.

5.   Now The question that arises is, that why is it, that the Indian establishment has a problem with Sikhs?
Well may be because those writing the briefs for establishment bosses, are not mature enough to see beyond a fixed template,  and continue to  see any demand by Sikhs,  for punishing those responsible for the anti-Sikh pogrom in 1984,  as a sign of separatism.

6.   Let me define the word Pogrom for my friends A Pogrom is a  riot aimed at persecution or massacre of a particular ethnic or religious group. It was basically meant to be used for Jew massacre by Nazis, but after 84 Pan-India massacre, and 2002 Gujrat massacre, the word Pogrom has had,  a very strong muslim and sikh connotation aswell. Period.

7. The Indian establishment, via its mainstream media, and social media  has established that Justin Trudeau is too close to Sikhs.
My simple question is, so what is it that is wrong about that ?
The establishment has rather chosen to use the word Sikhs and  phrase 'Sikh Sepratists' interchangeably,  as if all Sikhs are sepratists, or rather as if that is what the establishment would like them to be. This is not in the right spirit.

8.  Establishment is also unnecessarily worried,  about the growing international  influence of  Sikh community. Their actions of late have communicated as if a rise of Sikhs internationally,  poses a threat to India’s unity.

9.  Let me assure the bosses at the very top, that all such claims are hyperboled by double intelligence agents, or untrained job hungry moles, who work as spooks for India, but in fact do not even understand the basics of detective and investigative intelligence work. These bastards, keep on collecting rubbish and garbage from foreign media, and keep sending heaps of it to RAW desks in Delhi, who master in preparing some of the stinkiest briefs to keep their political masters awake, by lighting up fires beneath their blessed bottoms, just to keep themselves in cushy appointments, in and around the capital.

10. To add to this complete chaos, we have no dearth of,  mean, shallow,  opportunist Indian politicians, who on one hand want to see Modi, BJP and Sangh, trashed in the dustbin of time, as soon as possible, and also on the other hand,  they want to lick the shoes of today's political masters, being more than willing to bash Sikhs, christians or muslims, only to be able to get a politically correct selfie,  with the bosses that be.

11.  What has been worrisome for thinkers like me is the narrative fed to supreme political bosses of India , by those who regularly brief them on international politics.

12.  Most of the times these very senior desk managers go on fooling their political bosses,  erecting scarecrows in such political fields,  where none are required.  Being super fluff factories,  these piles infested sour-arsed  fake super-spies go on  building a narrative, that the King's ears want to hear, or are used to hearing

13. One such hot narrative that has been dominating the Indian politico-strategic-intelligence circles is,  that Sikhs are by nature rebels, sepratists and anti-nationals, who desire to breakaway from India.

14.  As a result of this narrative being continously fed to political bosses, some people have made political careers out of it. Some rose to be considered as  India's James Bonds, but in summary, they have all made an arse out of India's political bosses. These very folks got  Mrs. G  to messup  a complete community, resulting in a communal genocide and her own assassination. Same breed of opportunist politicians and false fire alarm spies are busy misdirecting Mr. M aswell.

15.  As a result, the Indian government, views  Sikhs in  Canada, U.K, and the U.S.A, getting into positions of power as a threat to India's unity and integrity.

16.    Let me assure you ladies and gentlemen, that nothing could be farther from the truth,  than the narrative of Sikh Diaspora, being essentially  anti-India.

17. The fact is that Sikh diaspora's contribution to economic upliftment of their brethren back home is commendable, and also at the same time most of them are more than happy to be considered, and referred to as proud and hardworking Indians.

18.  The basic fault lies in the fact that the Indian establishment sees any or all demands for justice in case of anti-Sikh 84 riots, as a sign of separatism, which is not true.

19.  The Indian establishment is biting the wrong bait by doing so. Undoubtedly, the Sikh diaspora are quite attached to their religious identity and willing to speak out, but that does not mean that they are separatists.

20. Successive Indian governments on the other hand have failed to balm the wounds of 84. If the present government takes initiative in assuaging anger over 84,  the Sikh separatist narrative can be forgotten for once and for all, as the Sikhs being by nature progressive, are more interested in building a bright future for themselves, rather than digging out old graves, as also at the same time, I must add here, no community can tolerate the desecration of its dead, which is true for Sikhs too.

21.  I think,  the time has come for  the indian intelligence hounds, and diplomatic doves  to separate the two demands,  rather than seeing them as parts of one narrative. There is an urgent need to view the  demand for punishing those guilty for 84,  and  balming the victims on one hand, as removed and separated from a  demand for a separate sikh state .

22.  Also the complete Sikh diaspora must not be dubbed as separatists. They should rather be felicitated  for their international achievements and contribution to this region's glory and their contribution to the modern world as teachers, soldiers, doctors, engineers, pilots, sailors and above all, honest hard working men and women.

© DO SIKHS WANT KHALISTAN OR THE WHOLE WORLD ? The choice is their's to make. ✒GBG⚔

1. Quite recently as the Canadian Prime Minister and Defense Minister were visiting India, the issue of Khalistan suddenly caught the headlines once again, as also the issue was deliberately flared up, to raise some bogey calls, for a false witch hunt.

2.  I was suddenly reminded of the Raj days, when to please the rulers that be, when ever a raj dignitary visited an Indian state, a tiger hunt would be organised. In case there were no tigers in the local jungle, an old tiger would be trapped from a far off place, encaged and put up in a place in the local jungle, and then a hunt would be organised. In plain words, the aim was to build excitement around the tiger hunt, and thus divert the attention of one and all, from real issues.

3.  In Punjab, the Khalistan issue today,  is like a non existent tiger, which is some how made to come alive, as and when required by the politicians.

4.  There are demons of drugs, unemployment,  farmer loans, farmer suicides and cancer, which  need more attention and energy, than bringing alive the ghost of Khalistan, and doing the nautanki of tackling it.

5.  Canadians came calling on India. So what, if the delegation had as its part, a very powerful Canadian Sikh presence, in form of Canada's Defense minister and many other Canadians, with  sikh  or hindu Indian roots?

6.  The fact is that they came, visiting India as Canadians, and being Sikhs their sentimental attachment with Golden temple, is quite natural.

7.  The Indian intelligence setup, and their political bosses, built up a false fire for no rhyme or reason, stalling regular diplomacy in the process. Undoubtedly the Indian state could have shown more maturity in dealing with the Canadians.

8.  In terms of a bogey call for an independent Punjab, let us for once and for all understand  that the true sikh dominance of punjab, ended a long time back in history.

9.  Today even in a shrunken Punjabi Suba, in the last term the Akalis could not form a government without going in with an alliance with BJP, and in the recent one the Akalis representing Sikhs in alliance with Hindu BJP, lost to the secular congress, and AAP parties. This speaks volumes on how the demography of punjab sits today.

10.  Thus  we  must realistically see that, a Sikh Punjab, as it was historically,   is today,  a dissolved reality.

11.  A lot of water has flown under the bridges of the five rivers, since Ranjit Singh's Raj.

12.  Pepsu got reduced, and then an already shrunk Punjab, was further shrunk as a result of a irrational demand for a Punjabi suba.

13.  AS a result, Himachal and Harayana became independent of a larger punjab, rather than Punjab becoming independent of the Indian Federation.

14.  In brief, a huge state of the Indian Union, got shrunk in to a pygmy little entity.

15.  Then once again,  the whole drama of independence for sikhs was enacted, by state sponsored actors leading a troupe of half educated or uneducated emotional fools.

16.  The drama was played out, with its murderous music, with many acts full of murders of innocents, pulled out of roadways buses, followed by brutality of extra judicial killings by black cats, labourer blood bath around SYL,  and much more,  culminating in bloody Op Blue Star and even bloodier Op Black thunder.

17. All this and more tragic things were experienced, during that black period. Murder of Finance minister, Sirdard Balwant Singh, murder of Mr. Sekri, Chief engineer SYL, and Sirdard A.S. Aulakh, the deputy Chief of SYL, and killing of numberless youth as a result of kharkoovaad and counter police action , ultimately proved a great loss to Punjab and Punjabiyaat at large, and sikhs in particular.

18.  Then we can not forget that the biggest cause of downfall of the Sikhs has always been the Sikhs themselves. Satguru Nanak's true way has never truly been followed.

19. This is clear from the fact that today, the Mazhabi Sikhs, the Ramdasiyaas, the Jatt Sikhs, the Ramgarhiyaas, and so many others are so divided amongst themselves that they have different community based gurudwaras in the same village.
Forget the Sahajdharis, they are not even allowed to vote for SGPC elections.

20.  So my question is, that where is a Sikh Punjab? Sorry honourable friends, such an entity stands long since dissolved, sadly so although.

21.  Let me verily proclaim that the only possibility of a K State is after the 3rd WW, if at all any such struggle takes place, which only the Akaal can see or say. People like me wish that no such war ever takes place, and that the progressive spirit of science, should now takeover the unscientific, emotional , faith based,  belief and passion driven spirit of any and all religions.

22.  Some people even talk of a referendum, and some of an armed struggle. Both these are incorrect paths.

23.  Referendum is not possible in India or other similar politico-socio spaces, because it is just not practical. People are emotional fools, who do not understand the ground realities.

24. Where the masses are unable to choose a good leader for them selves, what will be the result of a referendum ? Certainly a destructive and unrealistic one.

25. The way of the armed rebellion is only possible in a given time and space, which is neither seen in near future, nor advisable by any standards of sanity.

26. Even if  a nation like KS comes up, who will run it, what laws will they follow ? Suddenly one odd lobby would ask all women to cover their heads, or only wear long hair and beard,  and so forth and so on.

27.  All  talk on KS is nothing but an effort to shake the Indian Apple cart, and let me assure you, all this could be very counter productive for Sikhs.

28. So, in this complete irrational tamasha being politically built up to fool the world, the Sikhs, the punjabis and the Indian nation, I only see drama loaded with  some comedy but loads of tragedy.

29.  Although I have another path to offer aswell, a path of peace and progress.

30.  In my humble but very considered opinion, the Sikhs should work towards emerging, as an international cosmopolitan community, which is more focussed on overall wellness of the progressive humanity, rather than being interested in controlling a small territory, to call their own.

31.  Sikhs must develop an outlook where they belong to the whole big world, and the world belongs to them.

32.  In my well considered opinion, Sikhs are an extremly progressive and adaptive community, respectful and sensitive to different cultures, and in light of it they must focus on their universalism to grow and cherish.

33.  Today,  A sikh being the army chief of Singapore, a sikh being a Malaysian police chief of Jails, a sikh being Defense Minister of Canada, a sikh being a Mayor in America, a Sikh having been india's President, a Prime minister and Indian army chief are much bigger acheivements, than some Tota singh,  Maina Kaur, or a Langham Singham being ministers in Punjab.

34. Going by all this, Khalistan is too narrow a demand in today's Sikh Perspective.

35.  Rather than drumming up a call for Khalistan, the Sikhs should drum up a call for being made world citizens and continue to move forward as international world contributors, builders, warriors and leaders.

36.  With the sikh philosophy of universal brotherhood and their undying zeal for serving humanity, Sikhs should in today's context be working for and fighting for wold peace, and the whole world shall be theirs, and they shall thus belong to the whole world.

๐ŸšฉIs India suffering from Sikh Phobia, or are they simply building it up once again❔✒GBG⚔

©๐ŸšฉIs India suffering from Sikh Phobia, or are they simply building it up once again❔✒GBG⚔

1. I will begin by verily proclaiming, as if from atop Mount. Sinai, that Politicians have no religion, but they repeatedly use the handle of religion to churn trouble to suite their shallow goals.

2. Sikhs, the common Sikhs got battered in 84, for no fault of their's and were made to feel like 3rd rate citizens inspite of having rendered first grade services to our nation. Ordinary Muslims, going around with living their ever so common lives were similarly battered in Gujrat.  This was tragic, and unluckily the phenomena does not seem to be dying.

3.  Mrs Gandhi's assassination by her own guards, while staying in service of  our late PM, and using their duty hours, wearing their duty uniform, using their duty  weapons and duty ammunition,  to carry out her assassination was unethical,  unbecoming, tragic and uncalled for under any given circumstances, but also at the same time, an instigated mass violence  initiated against the sikh identity as a reaction was equally tragic, criminal, unethical, unjust and uncalled for.

4.  Some people are talking about those dark times to be forgotten. I have seen all that from close quarters. Having lost my dearest Sikh family member to terrorist bullets, having lost my good friends to the anti-sikh mob violence, how can any one who has seen all this so up close, ever forget all the madness that prevailed .

5.  The anger in any sikh, against the mob violence of 84 is natural, and singularly the most isolating factor for Sikhs.

6.  Last but not the least, let me be amply clear that all Sikhs are not Indians and all Indians are not hindus. Hindus as well as Sikhs and muslims are citizens of many different countries across globe.

7. Thus,  If a Canadian Sikh, comes to visit the Golden temple, and  says some thing, why should his statement be used to drum up a false battle against sikh youth in punjab, as if it is not a simple expression of regret, but a trumpet call for re-igniting a separatist movement in Punjab. This most simply put is  sheer  politics.

8.  In light of this, let our present honourable Prime minister, Shri N. Modi, not be guided by political foxes of Punjab politics, just like the Late Madam Prime minister was. Because  when the very man on top is politically prejudiced against imaginary circumstances prevailing in a nation's border state, some very vicious sets of circumstances, may get set in motion, to a great disadvantage of Punjab, aswellas India, both.

9. Let Harjit Sajjan say and express what he feels, why our governments should behave and act as if he represents the sepratists, rather than canada as a nation,  and then let the brown hounds and black cats out, announcing  a new witch hunt. Do the politicians think that people are so dumb.

10. Canadian Defense minister is only speaking his mind out as a sikh. Let him do that and go back home in peace, and so should we, go on minding our own business.Period.

11. Treating Harjit as a sikh rather than the Defense minister of Canada and treating Justin Trudo as Harjit's friend rather than the Prime minister of Canada was, is and will remain  a diplomatic blunder, a political blooper, an absolute boo-boo, a major  faux pas,  an international goof up, a political wisdom lapse,  a huge international slip and stumble  on part of India.

12.  Afterall, did our own PM not visit Palestine recently, and has the ISIS and Lashkar and other radicals not have, or have had  relations with PLO ?

13.  But in all this hobnobbing and pull and push, if a new strategy to brewup fresh trouble, in already battered punjab is being planned by our own politicians, they better be damned and warned at the same time. They shall miserably fail this time.

14.   How can Canada's Defense minister suddenly become so dangerous for India, or is it just that he happens to be a sikh, and in that case, is India suffering from Sikh-phobia, or are they all just making it up. In both the cases, its stupid, dumb and unfounded.

© Can Sikhs forget 1984❔❔@ ✒ GBG ⚔

© Can Sikhs  forget 1984❔@ ✒ GBG ⚔

1.  It is surprising that some people expect the Sikhs to forget 1984. My plain rebuttal is, Why should they forget 1984?  Yes getting past 84, getting over it is a possibility, but this must be allowed to happen over a period of time.

2.  The healing must take place, but to ask a community not to talk about the wounds, or not show their scars is not only irrational, but psychologically not right aswell.

3. 1984 is a tragic benchmark year in Sikh history, as the common sikhs forming the general public, the innocent traders and farmers, employees of indian state, even the Sikhs serving in the indian army, travelling in uniform,  were massacred, looted, their women raped,  men and children mercilessly butchered and burnt alive on the streets of India, for no fault of theirs.

4.  Let's not forget that Sikhs are a history based  community. They do not trace their roots to some mythical story, but they have their  roots in real time and space in recent history, and their history is embedded in war, sacrifice, suffering and turmoil.

5.  We can not undermine  that Sikhs believe in recording their history. It is traditional and can not be stopped, thus 1984 can not be forgotten or wished away.

6.  It is fully agreed that the fortification of Harimandir sahib complex was wrong. We all know that  the dark period of  terrorism, and the killing of innocent hindus and Sikhs by sikh and other terrorists during this time was unjust, unethical and criminal, but the Indian state too, is equally responsible for the whole mess.

7.  Indian state  messed up the show by blasting the GT complex, on Baisakhi day, thereby killing hoardes of pilgrims along with the kharkoos,  holed in and around the Golden temple complex..

8.  Verily, I can say, that here were not just one, but many other alternative options  available with the Indian state to sort out the issue of Punjab terrorism, but the state decided to use the most unsophisticated and raw strategy to sort  out the issue through a historical fiasco, infamous today as Op. Blue Star.

 9.  The whole handling of situation, politically, diplomatically, and  via forces was pathetic. It was a cauldron where too many cooks were in competition, stirring and screwing up the same dish, trying to make small  look huge, and via that seeking undue rewards and awards, and just about messing it up.

10.  Personally I very much criticise the state's handling of the situation, as much as much as I condemn the fortification of Harimandir complex by Kharkoos. They too could have carried the battle much ahead, and in a more professional manner,  if they had a better strategist to show them the true way of the guerrillas.

9.  Coming back to forgetting 84, the Sikhs, who have a tradition of maintaining a recorded history, can not tear away the pages that register the happenings of 1984 from their historical records.

10.  Yes sir, it is too unfair to ask the Sikhs to forget 1984, but still, moving ahead, forgiving the sins of all the demons of that era, and looking forward to a  better era  is an option.

11. Undoubtedly, healing and correction is possible, but this needs being done with empathy in mind, ensuring dignity to a proud and a martial community, and not dirty politics.

13.  Why the voice of dissent keeps rising from as far as canada repeatedly is,  because most of the Sikhs settled in Canada, belong to that generation of Sikhs, which has been directly effected by  the mishaps of 1984. So asking them to forget it all as if it is so easily forgettable,  is only adding salt to their wounds.

12.  What is actually required is a straightforward apology, as many times as possible, and a sincere healing touch.

13.  Yes this is also true that the Sikhs too need to move forward. History is never the place to get one's feet stuck in. The community must forgive and move forward, as well as keep looking for new paradigms for the community to emerge as a progressive international community.

14.  I dont think that the general public in canada or India want to carryforward the bitterness. Most of the people want to give peace and harmony a fair chance.

15.  Having said this, why is it that the issue pops up time and again?

16. Well,  the main villains in the story were, and still are the politicians, who continue to raise the bogey call of sikh separatism.

17.  In India  it is done  to divert public attention from the more  real and pressing issues of development, farmer suicides, drugs, cancer,  law and order, and other issue, and in Canada, it is  done only to ensure that the politicians  keep the Sikh votebank on their side, with or without the call for Khalistan. It doesn't really matter much to a Canadian politician. Period.

May better sence prevail.

@ ๐Ÿ“ฟMotivational Guru Balwant Gurunay.⚔

The Sikhs are in news all over, and its good for the community. Sikhs are becoming a part of international governments, joining armies of many developed nations and rising to other important political and adminstrative  positions internationally, but as on one hand, the religion is evolving in its cosmopolitan avatar, the dark forces of superstition and irrational belief on the other hand, are refusing to wane in sikhism.

The real reason for this is that majority of Sikhs are moving away from the true path of 'Sikh Masters' and falling in to the traps, forbidden by Masters.

Greatest things about all Sikh Gurus is that they were against superstiouos beliefs, because they believed in and propagated Truth alone, which directly transfers to an intelligent, diligent, honest and bold lifestyle. An honest and Jujhaaru lifestyle.

Guru Nanak preached every thing that was rational alone. He had cticised the way of Chamtkari Sadhus and Yogis as falsehood and  superfluous.

Gurus had also at the same time, preached against all Brahnimcal Karamkand and ritualistic  drama.

GURU Gobind Singh ji, the most beloved Sikh Guru strictly believed in 'Brave and Truthful Humans', and encouraged both the purity of action and intent.

The complete saga of Sikh Martyrdom from the 5th Guru to 10th master and his immediate family and loyal followers, carried forward by Baba Banda Singh Bahadur and his warriors,  is studded with one cardinal lesson, and that is,  that all evil in humanity has to be fought with Good Human Karma, not prayer or magic.

A truthful man, needs not to pray, but is ordained by Gurus, to  fight for and protect,  all that is held Nobel, in human society.

All Gurus also stressed upon the institution of a commune.

Community must struggle as a whole to strive for goodness, but the desire  of individuals to shine ahead of each other has forbidden many Sikhs to truly follow the true Path of Gurus.

Although they do externally wear the marks of Sikhism, but as far as their lifestyle is concerned, they are very much driven by the market forces, and a very competitive model of linear progressin of pseudo growth, where all success is measured by the financial success of a person alone, achieved by hook or by crook.

Then there is the issue of irrational and illogical beliefs.

Sikhism has no space for miracles.

The only miracle Sikhism preaches is the miracle of human gritt and determinatiim and a collective  human effort.

All stories of Chamtkars or miracles are made up stuff, a lot during the British raj, to ensure that the flock increases, as they needed people, and all this was  promoted by the priestly class, to ensure a regular flow of  devoutees.

There are many examples to proove such false practices, that have now found place in Sikhism.

Let's start with Gurudwaras Pathar Sahib where a boulder is said to have been thrown on Guru Nanak Sahib by a Giant, but the boulder turned in to wax, inprinting Nanak's body print on it. Now the fact is, why did that stone made  wax by Guru Sahib become stone again?

Why did Nanak allow the Giant to throw the rock on him in the first place?

Guru ji could have frozen the Giant himself, rather than turning the Rock in to Wax, but may be the makers of this story thought it more convenient to build it this way.

Than, the Mecca incident.

Undoubtedly A rationalist Philosopher like Satguru Nanak Sahib must have convinced a superstitious and staunch Muslim  priest to re-engineer his false beliefs. Guru Nanak ji must have convinced the narrow minded Mullah to understand the omnipresence of Allaah, but, that he moved the Kaaba all around, like a box of cardboard just to prove his point,  is absolutely a belief, based on a deliberate effort to kill the rational thought in Sikhism, and replace it by illogical beliefs.

Then we have the Panjaa sahib example, where, again Satguru stopped a huge boulder rolled down a hill by an 'Egoistic Spiritualist' to kill Nanak, as per this fable,  by extending his hand alone to stop the stone, and such was the impact of the boulder on the Guru's hand, that his hand got imprinted on it.

Now this is and never was the way of Nanak, because Nanak neither claimed nor wished to be a 'Spiderman or a Superman'.

If he wanted to stop the stone thus, he could easily have turned it in to thin air ! Why did he let it roll down till it was right next to him. Sounds funny.

Than a story doing the rounds is that in the battle of Chamkaur, 130,000 professional mughal army soldiers were killed by just about 42 Sikhs.

Going by this,  each Sikh must have killed, atleast 3250 mughals in a single night, with weapons like swords, clubs and axes alone.  That means in a battle lasting about 6 hours, (360 minutes,) every Sikh soldier should have killed almost 9 mughals per minute.  This looks far fetched.

The truth is that in this battle, the Sikhs had decided, that Guru Gobind Singh Sahib must leave the battle, and escape, so as the mission continues.
Sikhs fought this battle extremely well, and attained martyrdom.

In my opinion, they must have gone in for multiple   suicide  commando missions, and killed quite a few mughals, as their, this strategy ensured that the mughals stay engaged with them,  as Guru Ji is enabled to escape,  to organise and continue his rebellious struggle against oppression, and in the process, each Sikh may have killed more than a score of enemy soldiers.

It was a great battle indeed, extremely well fought by Sikhs, but to present an exaggeration of it,  is not the way of great Sikhs.

Even if each Sikh is credited with 50 kills, the number of enemy soldiers killed could not be more than 2000, but to exaggerate this figure to I30,000 can only be termed as a work of  wild imagination or a poetic exaggeration.

The Sikhs always had, and still have a warrior persona, but they are and have proven to be having a strong mercenary streak aswell. That is why after the fall of Lahore Darbar, Sikhs fell in line with the Firangi, so fast and so well, and they fought for Firangi in 1857 Indian mutiny, against the Freedom fighter rebels, and in both world wars there after, they faught for the Gora.

What is of concern to Sikhism today, is the progression of 'Faith in Divine Miracles' and 'Degradation of faith in Human Values and Human vulnerability', and this is a direct result of  Brahnimcal values, focused not on Karam,  but Karam-kaand.

The tradition of offering Prasad, Rumalas money etc, or asking for boons and wish-fulfillment,  and thus turning the holy book in to a deitified demi-god is the greatest fall of Sikhism.

Guru Gobind Singh ji wanted his Sikhs to be Gyan-Yogis and Karam-Yogis alone, but they have taken to the way of 'Fake Bhakti Yoga', as a result of which the majority of Sikhs rather than reading SGGS ji, are praying to it and seeking boons or protection from it.

A true Sikh never Prays. He does not read the bani as a mantra, but reads it daily as instructions for life.

This difference must be understood by all educated and cosmopolitan Sikhs, or else this very modern and extremely scientific religion shall soon be taken over by the crooked priestly class, married to corrupt and exploitative political class in India and else where in the world,  to use  Sikhs as a vote bank, or mere boots on battle grounds alone.

If course correction is not executed,  the loss will be to sikhism and ordinary simple hearted Sikhs alone.

Sardarji Barah Baj gaye. ................. Know the truth behind the Call !

For all of you who thought 12 O'clock is a joke for Sardars....................
I was standing at Shimla Bus stand to receive a fellow officer when my attention was drawn by a Sikh youth, may be waiting for a bus. Just then a voice was heard from the back 'Sardarji Barah Baj gaye' (Sir it's 12 o'clock!). The Sikh youth gave a cool look to the youngster and instead of showing any anger smiled at him. The smile made me walk towards him and ask him as to why he smiled at the person who teased him?

The Sikh replied, 'He was not teasing me but was asking for my help as there was a big history behind what the Idiot just said. I was eager to know the History and the Sikh narrated:-
During 17th Century, when Hindustan was ruled by Mughals, all the Hindus were humiliated and were treated like animals. Mughals treated the Hindu women as their own property and were forcing all Hindus to accept Islam, killing those who refused to convert. That is when the ninth Guru of Sikhs , Sri Guru Teg Bahadur came forward, in response to a request from some Kashmiri Pandits to fight against the cruelty of mughals.

Guruji told the emperor that if the emperor could succeed in converting him to Islam, all Hindus will accept the same but if the emperor failed the conversions should stop. The Mughal emperor happily agreed but even after immense torture of Guruji and his fellow sikhs the emperor failed to convert them to Islam.  Guruji and his four fellow sikhs sacrificed their lives in Chandni Chowk for Justice and dignity of freedom.

Thus Guruji sacrificed his life for the protection of Hindu religion. Can anybody lay down his life and that too for the protection of another religion? This is the reason he is still remembered as 'Hind Ki Chadar'... 'The Shield of India'. And the thankless cowards for whom he had sacrificed his life did not even come forward to lift his body, fearing that they too would be assassinated. It was a brave sikh who came forward, lifted the Guru's mortal remains took them to his cotton godowns and set fire to all his godowns to ensure a honourable cremation for his Master.

Seeing this incident our 10th Guruji, Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji (Son of Guru Teg Bahadar) made a resolution that he would convert his followers to such human beings who would not be able to hide themselves and could be easily located in Millions. That is how he created the Khalsa, the long haired sikhs carrying swords or a dagger at least.

These were the times when Nadir Shah raided Delhi in 1739 and looted Hindustan and was carrying treasures and nearly 2200 Hindu women along with him to be used as sex slaves. The news spread like wildfire and reached Sardar Jassa Singh who was the Commander of the Sikh army at that time. He decided to attack Nadir Shah's caravan on the same midnight at 12 O' clock.

The mission was carried out , the women were rescued. It didn't happen just once but thereafter whenever any Afghan or persian commander attacked and looted Hindustan for treasure and Hindu women to be sold in Abdal markets, the Sikh warriors although fewer in numbers attacked them at midnight,12 O'clock and rescued the women. It had by then become a trend and a kind of a code worded call by hindus ............. whenever their women or cattle and homes were raided they would call a sikh commander through a messenger who would thus deliver the message..... 'Sardar ji Pandit ji ne sneha bheja hai ki Barah baj gaye', and the Sikh commander would raid the invading troops to rescue women and cows.

Soon it became a legendary SOS call ................This historic fact was the reason which made me smile. as I thought that either his Mother or Sister was in trouble and needed my help or he was reminding me of all the sacrifices my ancestors made to save the women, cows, hearth and home of his ancestors. This Call,'Barah Baj Gaye' Is his innocent and unaware way of saying thankyou. Even if he uses 'Barah baj Gaye' as a cat call without knowing the history behind it I smile because I know the history and am reminded of my very brave and good hearted  Saint Soldier ancestors who risked their lives and limbs for saving the dignity of this nation.

On further interaction I found that the young sikh was serving in the Indian Army as a commando and was an MA in political science. When I asked him why he did not get some other job his answer was, 'Sir, Army for me is not a job but a passion'. Bravo my brother soldier, I salute you as you taught me something so beautiful.

Some shallow minded countrymen need to put it straight in their heads that Indian Sikhs are not their 'tenants'. but own this land more than they do because they have contributed more than their fair share for India's freedom and growth. Yaani Ghar Vaapisi.......aur Shudhi karan kis kaa ........ Abb merey ghar ka ribbon mujh se katvvao ge................. . Kya Hinduism ghar hai yaa India ghar hai ?................ Decide first.

Just to remind my friends I am sharing some figures here-
A single year's Sacrifices made by Sikhs for India’s Freedom during British Empire:
Type ----------------------Sikhs---Non-Sikhs-----Percentage of Sikhs
Prison One Year -----1,550-------575 ----------------73%
Hanged-------------------93----------28------------------77%
Jalianwala Bagh-------799-------- 501-----------------61%
Bajj Ghaat----------------67----------46-------------------59%
Kooka Movement------91-----------0--------------------100%
Akali Movement-------500-----------0--------------------100%
Deported---------------2,147--------499-------------------81%
Death sentence--------92-----------35--------------------72%
Indian National Army-12,000----8000------------------- 60%

All this when Sikhs are Just .............. 1.8% of india's population ! .  It is worth mentioning here that in the non sikh section there is again a rich contribution of the christians and Muslims as well ;) . One is bound to get angry when fence sitters and those who merely watched the show from corners want to teach the real gladiators the rules of the game or so to say a lesson in patriotism.

All said and done, this does not mean that Santa Banta Jokes are out. Santa banta represent the ever so jovial side of Sikhs, They are characters who are similar to Akbar Birbal, Tenali Rama or Mullah Nasiruddin. Only very immature people object to Santa Banta jokes. Their idiotic logic that any one telling a Santa Banta Joke is making fun of Sikhs as a whole is an ill founded and outrightly stupid logic. It is as if a man telling a Mulla Nasrudin joke is making fun of all the muslims of this world or someone telling a joke on pandits or a sadhu is insulting the hindu community as a whole or if someone tells a joke about Bongs he is waging war on Bengalis or anyone telling a monk, nun or a pastor joke is directly insulting Christianity. This kind of approach is outrightly a stupid approach.

People with such mind set  are products of poor self image resulting from shallow values and a poor knowledge of their own rich history making them feel unnecessarily insecure and belittled. With this attitude if they think they are doing some great service to their community, they are only mistaken as fundamentalist have always done more disservice to their community rather than doing any service.

Those who truly serve God, Waheguru, Bhagwan or Allah spread love and joy and not hatred and sorrow. Do not forget that the future of this world belongs to those who can say #illridewithyou. I also must state here that all those who think they are more Sikhs than Indians are as prejudiced or misled as those Hindus who think they are more Hindus than Indians or Muslims who think they are more Muslim than Indians. In simple words they are fundamentalist religious bigots who have no place in the vision of modern India. For them my slogan is Love India or Leave India.  .

It is also high time for one and all in India to realise that being a Hindu, a Sikh or a Muslim is next to being an Indian. Please rise above your narrow identities if you want India to to grow. I advise as well as request all Indians to have some minimal pride in our nation. Rise above your insecurities. Dont forget the best modern folk hero of Punjab Sardar Bhagat Singh did not give two hoots for any religion but sacrificed his life for INDIA.
