Godse a Villain or not....?


On January 30, 1948, Gandhi was shot dead by Nathu Ram Godse. His in camera trial began on May 27 1948 and concluded on February 10 1949. He was sentenced to death.

                           The media and government of independent India and the international media always dubbed NRG as a villain. But is that all that is there to it. Was NRG a depraved criminal or a thinking man, a patriotic nationalist or any anti India? Should he be thrown in to the dustbin of political hate or should he be judged on some other measures as well.

                            Before being sentenced to death in Punjab High courts of yore in Shimla, Godse gave a long and deliberate statement about his motive to assassinate Gandhi.

                             One of the Judges present there recorded in hos later memoirs that if the audience present in the court was to judge the case, ...they would have overwhelmingly said, 'Not Guilty'. Any ways, Godse was sentenced to death by hanging but his story refused to die with him as it lives on, stronger and clearer by every passing day.                           I researched deeply on topics of India's freedom struggle, partition, hanging of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev and India becoming a highly corrupt nation,post independence. After due deliberation, this is what I have to say. I might sound harsh to some, judgmental to some, honest to some and bold to some.

                            Personally, I am of the opinion that Godse came in too late and did too little. I say so because by the time he actually decided to remove Gandhi from the political scene of India by surgical intervention, the vitals of this great nation had already been damaged beyond repair.

                               The partition of India had been put in place. The Ganga Yamuna (Ganga-Januni) cultural fabric of this nation was shread beyond repair. Hindu Muslim divide was embedded in the Indian mind set for ever. So I strongly believe that had Godse stepped in a little earlier, he would have done a much greater service to our nation.

                                 In absence of Gandhi, no power could have stopped Sardar Patel from being the president of congress party and then the prime minister of India. Nehru was force pressed on India, courtesy Gandhi and Mountbatten. I do like Nehru’s suave style, oratory and writing skills, but he was only good enough to be a vice chancellor of some university or at the most, foreign minister of India.

                                  The forcible and manipulative maneuvers to keep a visionary and a Karm yodha like Patel subservient to a smooth player like Nehru was a great damage done to the possibility of a a strong and vibrant India. By my standards Gandhi's ensuring that Nehru becomes congress president in-spite of overwhelming support for Patel should have been reason enough for Godse to move forward with his plans but Mr. Godse, it seems was a little confused or could not really get his wits around himself to pull the trigger.

                                 Secondly Godse did just half the cleaning. Three more criminals, whom I consider guilty of great crime of dissecting and dismembering India, namely Mountbatten, Jinnah and Nehru were left alone to damage our nation further. Had Godse done a little more, again Sardar would have taken charge and things could be different, but alas, it was not to be so.

                                   If today some Indian Muslims think of themselves as more Muslims rather than Indians, and Some Hindus, consider themselves more Hindus rather than Indians, the blame lies squarely on the shoulders of those who steered the destiny of this nation as it was born.

                                   All this noise about Hindu Pride, Sikh pride and Muslim pride and very few people voicing Indian Pride over and above their religion is result of British divide and rule policy further kept alive by Nehru and his cronies in name of pseudo secularism to ensure that, Muslim vote bank works for them.

                                    Had Godse gone a little further, India would have been saved from 70 years of torture, in the name of pseudo secularism, which all and every time boiled in to riots and violence and many other internal security threats for India.

                                    In my opinion religion being such a dominant preoccupation with Indians, much stronger than their sense of nationalism and patriotism is the result of a carefully planned and executed policy, designed and put in place by Britishers as a part of their divide and rule strategy. 

                                       Tragically this policy was then carried forward by our own politicians for a few votes, to warm their behinds on chairs of power, even at the cost of nation building. I am a firm believer of secularism but not at cost of my nation. How can someone be allowed to burn the Indian flag in India, and how can we tolerate third  grade criminalized politicians ruling over millions of patriots. We too must follow Godse's example. In spite of every thing Gandhi was by far better than today's politicians.

                                   This is the end-result of Nehru’s policy. I can verily verily say, had India been captained in to its freedom by Sardar Patel, we would have had a corruption free India. The basic character of Indian leadership would have been that of disciple and strong nationalist values, rather than opportunist thugs dominating the political scene.
                               
                                  If you come to think of it, Modi’s or for that matter any national as well as truly nationalistic leader’s biggest challenge today is, to clean the political culture of India saturated with selfish, opportunist and shallow politicians both outside and within his own party.

                                   For India to truly progress our political character needs a complete paradigm shift. The mess is not easy to clean and could take years but it must change. I know it is asking too much from Modi as It’s like asking a man to work in a coal mine without getting coal dust on him, or to clean a chimney without soiling one self, but the real nation building can only happen from this point to begin with.

                                     The culture of corruption is a legacy of Nehru and the inheritors of his seat and traditions, which India could have been saved from only if NRG had moved a little further ahead by removing some obstacles in the way of a leader like Sardar Patel. Had he done a little more, moved a little further, India by now would have been the India of our dreams.

Do not be a Witch Hunter... Be a Nation Builder.


Jawaharlal Nehru became the first PM of democratic India in spite of Sardar Patel as the Prime Ministerial choice of many.  Nehru's being close to then Governor General of India, Lord Mountbatten, his being cozy with Lady Mountbatten and Gandhi having a soft corner for him made Gandhi pitch in Nehru's favor. This was the most unfortunate decision that Gandhi took in his life.
                  Winston Churchill specifically pointed out that 60 years down the line Indian system would be taken over by thieves and thugs. Churchill was prophetic in his observations. Today and for the past so many years we are being ruled by corrupt politicians. The qualities required to be an Indian politician are mindblowing. He may or may not be educated, he may or may not have civic sense, he may or may not be a decent person but he should be a sycophant, hypocrite, exploiter, kleptomaniac, robber and a liar of high order and a man of low character. He should be a worm with spineless disposition when it comes to dealing with those in power but should have Nazi Boots to kick the poor and weak. Not last but least he should have a criminal record as only such people are finding places in the power berths. The quality of political leaders being thrown forward by all national and regional parties is the same. Be it Congress, BJP or any other party. Pan India it is the land, drug, mining, transport, entertainment and gun mafia who are ruling the roost. Corrupt faces in BJP are as easy to find as they are in congress.
                         Nehru gave India a system that was bound to be corrupt. The fact is that in any democracy it is a consensus that works and should work but on ground zero this never happens. Many of us assume that constitution was framed by a committee and so on but the fact is that thousands of obsolete laws, copy pasted in to our constitutionalized legal system are the work of Nehruvians.  It goes without saying that it is the top leader who makes all the difference. His little whims and fancies are catered to or taken care of and he alone is responsible for all the good and bad things happening under his command. So it was with Nehru and so it shall be with Modi. Although India was cursed with criminalization of politics while being presided over by Nehru and his cronies but it remains to be seen if Modi frees India of this curse or merely presides over the circus as it's new ringmaster. Sycophancy seems to have become our national psyche and everybody is singing songs of NAMO even as they ignore the fact that with all his nationalistic intentions Namo is after all presiding over and managing the same old Indian Tamasha. Of late there was a Spanish statue of Namo of which the front is as happy and clean as can be but there is poop lying at the back, the Spanish statue is communicating a simple fact that Namo too has the same old shit behind him.
                         It has become quite fashionable today to not only criticize Nehru and his bad legacy of dynastic politics but folks seem to be substituting the real national issues with Nehru bashing.  People like Subra... Swami are busy digging the graves of his ancestry and lineage and proving his muslim bloodline but does that solve any purpose? No doubt JLN left behind severe border disputes, communal pests, a trend of political dynasties to rob India and an extremely sycophant and corrupt legacy but whether his 'so assumed by Swami' grandfather was indeed a Muslim DARBARI in last Mughal king Bahadur Shah Zafar's court who took a Hindu name Gangadhar to escape the Britishers, or whether he slept with the then first lady of India is irrelevant for today's India. It is an old trick to give Dabloo a bad name to make Babloo a good boy.  Subramaniam Swami is a master of this game. Rather than involving India with what has been wrong with those buried underneath for years now, it is rather more important to see what is wrong with our system and nation today and how can we correct it.
                        Even in Modi's cabinet there are quite a few who have the marks of criminal 'paan supari' on their otherwise spotless modi jackets.  There is a strong presence of ‘Polรญtico Criminal' in Modis knights and lords as well.  In Modi’s zeal in adding more and more kamals the vidhan sabhas and the Lok sabha are rather getting filled with them.             ........{If he has a super strategy of changing the system by first ensuring that he can get a mandate for change from all state assemblies, so be it.}..........     What is it that we as patriotic Indians could do about it. Our immediate contribution should be that rather than getting busy with issues like Nehru bashing. Islam bashing or  even Papu bashing we should be doing some 'Systemic ills' bashing. We need to address the systemic issues plaguing our mother land. Modi with all his good intentions is helpless as he depends on 281 KAMALS blooming in the dirty slush of criminalized Indian politics. I am sure in the heart of heart Modi is not happy with this situation, he can not be if he truly loves India. If he too is another dramebaaz than it is sad, very very sad situation for our country. I would love to be convinced that Modi has honest intentions, thus he may be happy with the number of lotuses he is gathering but can certainly not be happy with their quality. I am sure Modi wishes better for India.  Let more and more right minded people empower our beloved PM and encourage him to bring about some systemic change by creating an atmosphere in favour of such change rather than getting busy with old grave digging exercises which could be entertaining and involving but absolutely nonproductive.
                                          India needs a federal structure not only for better administration but also to ensure that the AKHAND BHARAT mission is fulfilled. In a federal nation the regional aspirations shall be fulfilled alongside national agendas. Let us not forget that India has always voted for a personality. India has voted for Indira Gandhi or Atal Bihari and so on. This time also India has and is voting for Modi and not BJP. Whatever gains BJP has made in Haryana and MR are purely the gains of MODI. So it is a person we vote for and per say the system requires us to chose hundreds of idiots to put this one man in office. Why can't we  elect this man straight and entrust him with the power to appoint best men and women on best jobs ? Imagine the huge burden that will be taken off the exchequer. We do not need thousands of corrupt and criminalized  MP's and MLA's  elected by larger than life election drama to preside over an army of  well read, trained and meritorious IAS, IPS and state services officers, only to criminalize and jam the complete administrative machinery.
             Just to inform my learned readers, Indian taxpayers are paying through their nose to maintain 4145 MLA's and 795 swanky car riding, helicopter flying,  foundation stone laying,  ribbon cutting MPs   to make and amend laws,  when many of them are themselves wanted in cases ranging from heavy financial misappropriation to rape assault and murder. As an executive function they  preside over the biggest administrative machinery in the known universe  comprising of  4737 IAS officers, 4730 IPS officers and lakhs of state cadre officers only to corrupt it to the last level and ensure it never runs smoothly.
                    India has come of age. No doubt India needs a strong and nationalistic leader like Narendrabhai Modi to preside over our nation but we also need a system that supports an honest man to be truly functional at all levels. We need to rediscover and redefine ourselves. Rather than a multilevel administration where we have the panch, sarpanch, on one hand,  BDO, tehsildar, and Collectors on the other to be presided over by MLAs and MPs who mess it up all, we should have a truly functional and effective administrative machinery.  Britishers had designed the system to suit them, JLN and team copy pasted it and every indian leader since then is going around on this political merry go round  in the mad Indian political Mela having fun generation after generation.  We need a system that works not for politician but for the nation. In the present system of multilayered administration an ass of a politician can make a mockery of officers like Khemka and Durga, He can make sure that an IPS officer be given 45 transfers in less than 3 years. He can make sure that a politician gets away with rape and murder whereas an ordinary man get's thrown behind bars for flimsiest of reasons. My simple question is.........   Is it a  joke going on or are we running a nation ? This is certainly not the India that our freedom fighters gave their lives for. Let’s get over our witch hunting fixation and get going with the real job of nation building. We do need systemic changes otherwise the same gang of ghost hunters who are digging Gandhi and JLN's graves today shall soon be doing the same with NAMO as well.  Its high time that those entrusted with the responsibility of changing the destiny of this great nation sit up and listen to thousands of voices like mine who as opinion leaders represent the silence of millions of unspoken voices of a nation. Is Mahatma to blame for India's Partition.


Mahatma Gandhi is one man who tried everything in his power to stop partition from happening but could only go that far. By the time the drama of Indian partition was being enacted MG was a helpless old man with all the right intentions, massive public appeal but no temporal authority.
               Having no choice left but to quit, British who were masters of the 'Divide and Rule' game, wanted India to be troubled with communal riots so that in the prevailing confusion and chaos the Indian leadership is coerced into asking them for help, in terms of staying on to establish order. They eventually partially succeeded in their mission. Although they could not hang on in India much longer but they did succeed in dividing the nation before they left.                   
                                      Mahatma Gandhi, a farsighted but gentle person, wanted to save India from all this. As is well known to all that Jinnah Sahib was bent upon creating a Muslim state and often threatened with direct action, which meant an open call to Indian Muslims to rebel against the Union with violent repercussions for both Hindu and Muslim communities. Gandhi tried to influence him time and again to find a way and suggested a formula whereby India remains unpartitioned. He even succeeded in prevailing upon him to accept the presidency of undivided India to which Jinnah agreed but Nehru didn't agree, tas he was not willing to function as India’s first PM with Jinnah being it's first president, a war of personalities and shallow ambition of course.
                        In these circumstances and the British being bent upon dividing the colony before they left, for reasons of wielding better influence over the region, even after their physical departure, the partition of India became a reality against the wishes of Mahatma Gandhi and other nationalists. For partition of India the blame has to lie with Jinnah, Nehru and of course the British who knew that India must be divided to keep it weak. Gandhi is to blame if at all for his soft corner for Nehru, because of which Patel was sidelined many a times from taking up bigger national political roles which could have ended up in his pursuing much bigger and nobler national goals. Had Sirdar been in charge of India instead of Nehru the picture could have been different but this 'COULD' is a huge one. 
        There is also a view that if India was to stay united INC or Indian National Congress as the single largest or the only organization with which British negotiated had four choices, firstly to coerce Muslim-majority provinces into united India, secondly to accept permanent tutelage of British amounting to shedding the demand for freedom,  thirdly to somehow  convince British to hand over India’s reins to INC and letting it manage the mess as it may have or fourthly to win over the Muslims by winning over their chief representative body the ‘Muslim League’. Options one and two were out of question where as options three and four failed in spite of everything.  Ironically and tragically the last scenes of this gory drama were neither enacted by the British nor by the Jinnah’s, the Nehru’s or the Gandhi’s of Indian politics but by ruthless, bloodthirsty and inhuman killers in both communities.The bloodshed that resulted totaled a sacrifice of more than three million innocent human lives.
