🚩Story of Barbrika, a great Hero of Mahabharta.🚩 @ ✒GBG⚔

1. Barbarika, better known as Khatu Shayam Ji today is a mystic hero of epic Mahabharta.

2. He is known as 'Teen Baan Dhaari' because he was blessed with three arrows that would every time come back in his quiver after having hit the enemy.

3. Grandson of Bheem and son of Ghatotkach through his wife Naga princess Marvi, who later came to be known as Ehlawati, Barbrika was an invincible warrior.

4. His mother had blessed him and advised him to always help the loosing side. A champion of the underdogs, he was bound to help kaurvas at the end as they were bound to lose the war through their unwise, greedy and unjust policies.

5. Krishna saw through this and in the form of a brahmin asked this invincible warrior for charity.

6. When enquired by Khatu Shyam ji as to what the brahmin desired, Krishna asked him to pierce all the leaves of a peepal tree after having concealed one leave under his feet. This was a child's play for the young warrior but to his surprise his arrow after having pierced all the leaves on the tree started going around the brahmin as a leave was concealed under one of his feet.

7. Barbrika immediately realised that the brahmin was not an ordinary one and requested him to reveal him self.

8. At this Naryan revealed him self and his purpose. Thats when Krishna asked him to fight for the Pandvas. The young man replied that as per his word to his mother he shall fight only for the losing side.

9. Trikaal darshi Naryana at this asked Barbrika that in that case he should sacrifice his head as the battle requires the sacrifice of a great warrior before it gets rolling. Seeing Narayan him self asking , Barbrika readily agreed.

10. He cut his head and gave it to Lord krishna but also asked him a boon that after being cut, his head be placed at the highest point in Battle ground and he be blessed to see the complete battle.

11. "So it shall be", said Krishna and also blessed Barbrika that in Kalyuga he shall be revered as god and any looser will win back his losses if he prays to or meditates upon Barbrika.

12. Today Barbrika is known as Khatu Shayam Ji and is a powerful wish fulfilling deity for the pure hearted.

13. At the end of the battle of Mahabharta when the contemplative exercise of who did what , and who was right or who was wrong was being carried out, Krishna advised all present to seek these answers from Barbrika's head.

14. They went to where the head was placed and after paying due regards asked as to what did the great Selfless warrior, who out of devotion to dharma made the sacrifice see.

15. He replied.................. "All that I saw was Krishna as Naryana cutting the heads of millions of enemy warriors and Draupdi as Kali drinking their blood. It was only a drama managed by Narayan and his Maya to teach this world some lessons to cleanse the evil in human mind" . Maharishi Vedvyaas ji is famous for hiding great esoteric truths in his stories, the truth hidden here is that all the world that we see around us is nothing but a play betwen Maya/Illusion and eternal Consciousness, which can only be actually seen by an awakened consciousness. Maya is represented here by Kali/Draupadi, Eternal Consciousness is represented by Krishna/God, and the awakened soul is represented by Barbrika. The red ribbon around Barbrika's neck signifies sacrifice, or blood flowing from a willingly severed neck, as concious surrender,  flowing towards Eternal Truth/Shiva/Kaarak Action/ Karma here, let's call it Krishna for our ease of understanding , the eternal as suggested by Maharishi V.V .Ji, and, Maya/Kali/illusion/Shakti/Kaaran/Cause,  here,  which we may call Draupadi for our ease of understanding, as suggested by Gurudev, but the concious realisation of great truth and great illusion within the unison is  what matters here, and it is thus the grand  gyaan Yoga, without which, all bhakti yoga is nothing more than a sham or a hypocrisy.

16. This painting by me, shows Barbrika's head on a hill representing a great yogi, watching the game of death played by Krishna and Kali symbolically represented here by a peacock Feather and the eyes of Mother Kali.......................

🚩The Story of Aravana🚩 © @ ✒GBG⚔

You have all heard the story of Arjuna living for a full year as an Eunach named Brihanaala,  employed as a dance teacher to princess of Virat, during Pandava's agyaat vass, or incognito living, but today let me tell you a story where in Bhagvaan Shri Krishna, himself became a transgender, wishing to respect the desire of a  devouted warrior Aravana, the son of Arjuna's through his beloved naga princess Ullupi.

Eunuchs of India, are not only devouted, but every year they get married to the deity of Aravana, only to become widows the very next day, thereby immortalising this esoteric part of Mahabharta.

Aravana's temple is in a place called Koovgaam in the district Villupuram of Tamilnadu.  Aravana has no connection with Ravana of Ramayana, but he is a character from the other great Indian Epic called Mahabharat.

As per the epic, Arjun had to go on a year long  forest dwelling, after he mistakenly/ under most pressing circumstances,  entered Draupdi's chamber at an inappropriate time.

Hero of our Epic, how could Arjuna be left alone for a year, without any adventure. So Arjuna had a few adventures, as he passed through this testing time.  He reaches North eastern India, where he falls for a widowed Naga princess, namely Ullupi.

The love is mutual, and as a result they marry. Ullupi gives birth to Arjun's son, named Aravana.

After some times Arjun moves ahead in time, and Aravan is brought up by his mother, as a great warrior in his father's tradition. Now Aravan grows up  and wants to look up his father, who is busy with the great war of Mahabharta.

Arjun being happy on seeing his love child, blesses him and sends him in to war. Now Ved Vyas ji, a great story teller and an expert at packaging upnishadic knowledge in his story, creates a situation where Pandvas need a sacrifice of a prince, but a  volunteer prince, ready to offer his head to Mahakali, the godess of war.

 Krishna announces this to Pandavas.
Aravan,  volunteers to offer his life, but he desires to be married before dying. Now the situation becomes difficult as no King would willingly marry his daughter to a man bound to die the next day. This is when Krishna decides to resolve the issue, and becomes a 'Mohini', beautiful lady, who marries Aravanaa.

Having his desire satiated, and now ready to attain Moksha, Aravan cuts his own head and offers it to godess of war Kali. Krishna too , living up to his promise, mourns the death of Aravana, as a wife would.

Being a man Krishna takes a women's form, to bless Aravanas desire to be married before he dies, thus eunuchs, who are considered men in women's form,  marry Aravana's deity, to then be his widows.  Strange as it might seem, but geniuses like Rishi Ved vyas have spun great esoteric truths in his story.

The Esoteric truth hidden  in this case is that
1). Only a satiated soul is ready for death, or else the purity of a sacrifice is not complete.
2).  Secondly that soul or 'core life',  is neither a man nor a woman. The externals do not define a person, thus Maharishi VV, via his most powerful chracter Krishna, who is the personification of God himself,  leaves a lesson for humanity,  to remember to be respectful to transgenders and Transsexuals, as equally respectable members of society.
