🚩An introduction to 'SATYARTH PRAKASH' by Swami Dayanand Saraswati ji.🚩 @✒GBG⚔

1.  During the Middle Ages, many faiths and sects sprang up in religious and social spheres of  Indian subcontinental society.

2.   Some faiths were brought in by foreign invaders like Muslims, and/or converter missionaries or invaders like christians from Portugal, and other european nations.

3.  Some of these subsidiaries sprang from selfish ambitious reasons, priestly business wisdom or sheer jingoism of  so called Baba's/Gurus/Sadhgurus/Satgurus/teachers etc,  and a congregation around this or that Saint, Guru, Peer, Teacher, Master, Murshid etc, basically teaching nothing more than basic 'Upnishadic Truths', simplified in local dialects, and nothing more/else, to be honestly plain.

4.    Some diversions burst out as a result of sheer hypocrisy and abuse that had set in to the society, as superstitious practises,  and some as minor or major reformist movements against ills of society.

5.  The followers of such sects, deras, isms, slowly migrated away from the teachings of  'Vedas and Upanishads',  attaching a greater significance to the so called founders of their individual faith streams,  and their preachings.

6.   This is exactly how polytheism, or worship of different deities in middle ages,  commenced,  in an other wise monotheistic India.  Different gods, patronised by different priestly classes emerged. Shavites, Vaishnavites,  this-iets, that- ites and so on.

7.    Great differences developed amongst the different sects thus created,  and this divided and weakened the otherwise cohesive Indian Sanaatan  society.

8.   The caste system based on birth, promoted by some,  fragmented India further.

 9.    Like any aging society without reforms, the customs gave way to superstition and ignorance wherein practice superseded reason and sheer blind faith threatened degradation of Indian 'Sanatan Dharma Society', generally called 'Hindu Society'.

10.   The word Hindu is an improper word or misnomer for a believer of Vedantic wisdom,  the correct word is 'Vedanti',  or a  Sanatana Dharma follower.

11.   Vedantic Dharma or Sanatana Dharma  is a religion, or faith,  based upon eternal or Sanatan Wisdom. The word Hindu does not appear any where in the Vedic texts or even in Puranas, or 'Vedantic Butter,  Shri Bhagvan Gita'. The word Hindu is a Persian word, used by foreign invaders, to adress any one living this side of 'River Sindhu'.

12.    The renaming of the Vedantic religion as 'Hindu Religion', only demonstrates the degradation of understanding of the Vedantic or Upanishadic faith.

13.  It was around this time that  Swami Dayanand ji, wrote 'Satyarth Prakash' in order to spread the knowledge of  'Vedas' and to educate people on the true qualities of man, religion, faith,  the real Indian lifestyle and Indian concept of God.

14.    Satyarth Prakash contains exposition and clarifications of Vedic principles. The book advocates Vedic monism based on Advaita Vedanta.

15.   Some important topics in the Satyarth Prakash include worship of one God, explanation of the main principles of the Vedas, the relationship between religion and science,  and relationship aswellas the difference between devotion and intellect, and an absolute elimination of the caste system.

16.   It is also focussed on elimination of different neo-religious beliefs, spread by unnecessary prophets and Baba's, so as to ensure the strengthening of society.

17.  Satyarth Prakash stresses up on  'Eradication of all Superstitions', 'False Notions',  and 'Meaningless Customs'.

18.  Swami ji's book is focussed on  shunning 'Narrow-mindedness',  and promoting  'Brotherhood of man'.
