1. Nitin Gadkari is no match to Narendra Modi, when it comes to being a mass leader. All though having a good hold in Nagpur, Gadkari is not even 10% of Modi's pan indian impact.
2. Before I write a little more about Modi, let me take you through some parts of write up I came across, on Gadkari, by journalist Manu Joseph, now also a novelist. As per Manu, there are only four kinds of people: the philosopher, the fan, the actor and the builder.
3. The philosopher is under the spell of intuition that makes him or her see clearly through the smog of scholarship. Intuition is not a mystical force. It emerges from subterranean knowledge but does not require excessive information. The primary quality of intuition as we all know is that it is either an absolute truth, or an opinion, that pre-cedes substantiation.
4. The actor is a person who can project a myth and in whom others can see what they wish to see. His true nature is canvass like, allowing others to project themselves on it.
5. The fan is the receiver, consumer, conformist aswellas a transmitter of achievements or delusions of actor and builder. In case of a philosopher, a fan is a bhakta. I have concluded that struck by the greatness or great power of some philosopher, actor or builders, the fan becomes either a chamcha seeking crumbs of power, or a patron, promoting his adored idol or a blind bhakta.
6. A builder is obsessed with building grand things. So he invents reasons to build. Reasons to build are, firstly building is good business, and secondly, because to build is to be on right side of morality.
7. Journalist Manu has put Gadkari in the builders category, and at the same time, cleverly put across the presence of a back player in the game. As per Manu Joseph, Sangh is presenting Nitin as a man who has built great expressways and ports, and who will transform the infrastructure of the nation.
8. Journalists aligned with Sangh are promoting the idea, that the RSS is building Gadkari as an agreeable prime ministerial candidate instead of Modi, in case BJP is to form a coilation government, but let me assure you that this is not going to happen.
9. What Manu seems to have missed out on, is the 5th category amongst men, that of a story teller and crowd hypnotizing dream merchant.
10. Why I grade Modi much above Gadkari is, because, not only is NaMo, a philosopher, with clear logic and method of building an India of 'his dreams', ruled by him alone, but he is a great story teller, aswellas he can sell his big promises, like Hitler's big lies, successfully, at the same time mesmerizing crowds with images, shadows and hopes, that never can and never will be met. The best part is, that people don't care. They love Modi's hallucinating dreams, he creates to humor the public. One two Cha, Cha, Cha, One two Cha Cha, Cha.
10. Thus Gadakari, or all others put together, are 'there where they are', because of modi, a spin story factory, telling stories to janta, which take them away from reality, and in to a world of make belief. So, there may be a full majority, or a coilation, there is no substitute for Modi, as for the common man, Modi is the new hash, that gives these people a new high, and thus a temporary freedom from pain.
