1. Firstly a respecful salute to martyrs, Squadron Leader Sidharth Vashisht, Squadron leader Ninad Mandvgane, Kumar Pandey, Sergeant Vikrant Sehrawat, Corporal Deepak Pandey and Corporal Pankaj Kumar, who laid down their lives in the line of duty, as they flew on a 'Search and Rescue' mission in a Mi-17 helicopter, which crashed after breaking midair as it flew over Kashmir's Budgam area, post Abhinandan episode.
2. Sidharth Vashisht was an ace chopper pilot, who had flown many missions, including many VVIP flights. He was a third generation officer. His grandfather and father had served in the forces, and even his wife, Squadron Leader Arti Singh, is a serving Air Force officer. Recently Squadron Leader Sidharth Vashisht had recieved a commendation for his role in the rescue operation during Kerala floods.
3. I would squarely lay the blame of these deaths, due to their chopper snapping in two and going down ,due to reasons yet unexplained, and intense yet unnecessary cross border firing on border, only on stupid, irresponsible, and idiocratic media anchors, who were busy flaring up the popular sentiment, and were rather over busy barking more than required, only to please their political masters, forgetting that their hate mongering is also generating hate and contempt in the tensed up population on ground, where the action is not as yet over.
4. It's high time that either the stupid media anchors and our characterless politicians, stop exploiting the armed forces operations for cheap popularity, TRP, and some votes, or be ready to be kicked on their blessed behinds in the most unfathomable ways.
