1. Every person party or a nation, tries certain minor tactics or some major strategies to, manage, manipulate or transcend through different circumstances.
2. But when a strategy based on manipulation of facts, or false-flag marches, becomes a regular policy, it can be very very counterproductive. Some strategies being used by our incumbent government, are thus counterproductive.
3. . Strategies like drumming up calls of getting black money back from foreign banks, might sound politically smart but failing to do so only proves, how nerd headed the idea was.
4. Using armed forces operations to gain populist political gains is outrightly dumb. India being a multi cultural nation had a national policy of maintaining an apolitical army, as any politicisation of army may prove counterproductive in the long run.
5. To take credit for reactive actions of armed forces, and taking political advantage of soldiers martyred in action, or terrorist attacks is a flawed policy. Projecting any reactive army operation, as a politically controlled action, as if the prime minister of a democracy is directing the army actions from within a war room, and avenging the death of jawans killed as result of sheer, carelessness, callousness, and apathy is doubly tragic.
6. To unleash an ineffective, questionable and messed action like notebandi, or a multi layered taxation policy, and thereafter publicising it as a ‘masterstroke’ is not laudable, but laughable.
7. Make exaggerated claims of all kinds of growth, taking credit for projects started by past governments, to only gain political mileage is wrong.
8. Holding back truth, and information from public, and not being open to public scrutiny, is extremely unhealthy for a democracy. This is not politics but political Hara-kiri.
9. Letting the taxes and prices rise, then announce relief near elections, in other words announce reliefs, which are in any case ineffective till a new government is formed, is all in bad taste and a bad strategy.
10. Dub any one who speaks for underdogs, poor and tribals as a 'maoist', and dub any one who criticizes the establishment as an anti-national, is extremly unfortunate.
11. To continue to divide, and fracture an already diverse society, by sowing seeds of great hatred and mistrust in the population of ones own nation, is not only a bad strategy, but is unpatriotic too. I repeat, to attack any one who questions the incumbent government, then dub him/her as an as ‘anti- national', is not only unfortunate, but an extremely poor political strategy.
In the long run, all this is going to bring bad results for our motherland.
